Mark Finley’s City Evangelism in Chennai

Pr. Mark Finley, Adventist world evangelist visited Chennai and conducted a School of Evangelism in Kodambakaom and revival meetings at Vepery School ground from April 5-9. This was a great blessing for the Pastors and the Adventist believers of Chennai metro. He also opened the media center in Chennai where our own TV program can be produced and the ‘end time messages’ for the local channels be broadcasted.

Kandrika Gets Adventist Message

Kandrika, a large village with many castes and tribes, situated 25 kms south of Guntur city, in Andhra Pradesh in India. Many independent pastors, especially Pentecostals are working there. An evangelistic meeting was conducted by our pastors from April 23 – 30, 2009, immediately after the cottage meetings, Bible studies and other preparatory classes began during the first week of March. At the end of the meeting 53 precious souls took decision to follow Jesus and were led to the water for baptism.

East central India Union Group -----Bible land tour

The ECIU administration planned for 10 days Holy Land Tour, through “ Jerusalem Pilgrims Fellowship”. Forty Nine ECIU pastors and laity were able to visit Jordan, Palestine, Israel and Egypt. They visited important places of Biblical significance like Nazareth, Galilee, Mount Nebo, Jerusalem, Jericho, Mount Carmel, Bethany, Sinai mountains and Cairo. At every point the guide explained the importance of the place, event and its connection to the Bible. Ministerial Director of the Division had an opportunity to baptize one of the delegates in river Jordan.

Mid year Committee of the Division Held on May18-20 in Hosur

The high lights of the Committee: A Self reliant church in Southern Asia by 2015, Allocation of GC delegate quotas to each unions, Appointment of President of Flaiz Memorial College, Allocation of Theology students to Spicer College from each of the unions.

A document was presented by the Treasurer for the attention of the committee members to study the target of a Self reliant church in Southern Asia Division by 2015. All the members were excited about it.

Mr. T Christian Raju was appointed as the New President of Flaiz Memorial College in Narsapaur, Andhra Pradesh.
